Everyone knows someone affected by “THAT DAY”.
Because of indiscriminate mass murder.
We lost fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and friends.
It takes a startling event like 9/11 to remind the world and all of us as individuals just how fragile we are.
The “I wonder ifs”, the cause and effects that lead us down paths we can’t possibly know until they happen.
But out of the ashes of hatred, good rises.
To My Friend Steve,
Your death gave birth to many new friendships.
Annual gatherings of friends and families in your honor.
An inexhaustible appreciation for life and time well spent.
A field of play that will bring joy to the children of our town for years to come.
Memories that will always bring a smile.
As you did in life, in death, you continue to touch so many.
I am thankful to have known you.
I’ll catch up with you later.
