Message: my daughter is in the process of becoming a firefighter. i couldn't be more proud of her. firefighters are just as important as any branch of our distinguished military, or national/local law enforcement and just as much honored and missed when they give the ultimate selfless sacrifice to save lives of anyone; rich, poor, white, black, good or bad.

Message: Mr. Apostol, aged 55 years, was a New York City Firefighter and knew what his duty was. He gave his life while trying to save others, like so many that day. A high school friend remembers: "...Faust was a mild, friendly young man. It is wonderful to know he grew up to be such a fine family man. I also remember his wife from high school. My love and prayers to all the family". Five years ago we were shocked by the evil that some men will commit. We were inspired by the love and sacrifice that others gave. It is something that should not be and will not be forgotten. Thank you for your service, brother. A job well done, rest in peace.
